Capital Law appointed to National Procurement Service Framework
Leading commercial law firm Capital Law has been appointed to the new public sector framework for legal services established by the National Procurement Service (NPS) for Wales.
Following a competitive tender process, Capital Law will provide a range of services across the whole of the South Wales region, including employment law and major IT and commercial contract work.
All public sector organisations in Wales will have access to Capital’s services through the new framework, including local authorities, health boards, schools, higher and further education providers, the emergency services and housing associations, as well as the Welsh Government and Welsh Government sponsored bodies.
The NPS works on behalf of the Welsh public sector to deliver value for money from the procurement of common and repetitive goods and services, bringing together over £1 billion in purchasing power.
Jeremy Williams, Capital’s framework partner who led the tender, said: “The NPS set out to create a framework that would deliver both quality and value, a combination of benefits we too strive to bring to all our client relationships. We are delighted to be recognised as meeting this benchmark.”
Capital’s managing partner, Chris Nott, said: “It’s a testament to our ongoing growth and ambition, and the talented lawyers we continue to develop and recruit, that we have won a place on this prestigious framework. We look forward to the opportunity to work with a wide range of public bodies as they face the effects of unprecedented change.”
The new legal services framework will run for four years from 1 September 2015.
