Alex joined Capital Law in October 2009 as a trainee and joined the employment team in 2011. She works with a range of clients to provide advice on both contentious and non-contentious aspects of employment law.
Alex specialises in:

disciplinary and grievance proceedings
drafting service agreements with a focus on intellectual property clauses
reviewing policies and procedures to ensure they are up to date with the latest legal developments
intellectual property aspects of employment law
UK in-bound corporate immigration advice
the Agency Worker Regulations 2010.
Some of Alex’s recent work includes:
preparing and delivering bespoke in-house training sessions on a variety of topics including the Agency Workers Regulations 2010 and TUPE
defending a complex unfair dismissal and discrimination claims
reviewing policies and procedures in light of recent legislative changes
advising clients on the current status of holiday pay and entitlement
negotiating exit packages for senior personnel
undertaking employment due diligence in relation to a high value corporate transactions including one recently shortlisted for ‘deal of the year’ by The Insider
advising a large national recruitment business on the legal implications of the Agency Workers Regulations 2010, in particular use of Swedish Derogation contracts
advising a national transport company on immigration matters including its application to become a licensed sponsor
advising a company on a collective consultation process which involved a proposed reduction in pay.
